Program description:
 
This program is the initial module of the main 3-year program of the Institute and is called "Counseling Psychology and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy". This module is designed to provide students with basic knowledge of counseling psychology and psychotherapy as well as of psychoanalysis theory and the basic skills in psychological counseling.
 
This is a consistent and complete program for psychological counseling and psychotherapy, which is based on 25 years of experience of the Institute of Practical Psychology and Psychoanalysis in training counseling psychologists and psychotherapists of psychoanalytic orientation.
 
With this program, the Institute implements a fundamentally new model of practical psychologists training in Russia combining education and practice with personal and professional growth of the students. Classes are held in the form of lectures, theoretical seminars, skills training, workshops, viewing and discussing videos of psychotherapy sessions, as well as of clinical seminars with the analysis of clinical cases from the teachers' psychotherapy practice. This way students have an opportunity to consolidate their knowledge and skills in the course of practical work with real clients on the platforms for clinical practice provided by the Institute. 
 
Teachers of the program are practitioners with many years of experience. They represent the most reputable Russian and international professional communities: the Society of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, the Moscow Psychoanalytic Society, the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, the International Psychoanalytical Association.
Our goal is to provide professional training of qualified specialists in psychological counseling and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
 
Practical training for all students of the retraining program:
During the training, students practice in telephone counseling in "Yaroslavna" Psychological Counselling Center.

Admission conditions:
  • Write an essay (after signing up for the program, you will receive an essay form from our manager).
  • Pass two introductory interviews with the teachers of the Institute.
  • The purpose of the interview is to assess the applicant's perspectives to successfully complete the educational program and acquire professional competence in the field of practical psychology. 
  • Submit the entrance documents to the admissions committee: a passport copy, a copy of the diploma of higher education along with the diploma supplements, 2 photos 3 x 4 cm.
  • It is important to note that the education at the Institute is based on the internationally established standards of counseling psychologists and psychotherapists training, which involve  that a future specialist passes individual psychotherapy.
  • Please, be aware that already during the introductory interview, you can hear about the importance of personal psychotherapy for a future practitioner. 
  • However, individual psychotherapy is only recommended and not  obligatory for obtaining a diploma of professional retraining.
Объем и расписание: 
Scope and schedule:
850 academic hours (500 in-class hours) in 1.5 calendar years or 3 semesters (13.5 academic months).
For the evening form of education, the training takes place on weekdays from 18.00 to 22.00 2-3 times a week.
For the full-time and part-time forms of education with the use of distance learning technologies, training takes place online (ZOOM). 
Each semester there is a full-time module of 14 calendar days.
Classes for full-time weekend education form take place on Saturdays and Sundays.
 
 
Payment terms:
Program price and payment terms for all forms of education:
1.5 years — 207,000 rubles.
1.5 years — 186,300 rubles ( -10%, if paid in one time for the entire course of study)
A semester — 69,000 rubles.
A month — 17,500 rubles (the first payment is 17,700 rubles)
